Our Digi-den
Our Digi-den is an exciting and inspiring place where pupils can come to develop their technology and ICT skills. We have 16 desktop PCs for our pupils to use. In our creative area, pupils have access to Lego and K-Nex where they can let their imaginations run and build fantastic creations. We also have coding resources, a green screen and much much more.
Our Grow Zone
The Bantaskin Grow Zone is an area where our children develop their understanding of Sustainability. They explore the food journey by planting, nurturing and harvesting a variety of crops and produce before using these in the Kitchen Classroom. Mrs Mundie, our volunteer gardener, is available to support and provide advice and is always surrounded by enthusiastic learners if they see her outside at break or lunch.
Our Kitchen Classroom
The Kitchen Classroom is used to develop cookery and food skills. Mrs Henderson, our food technician, supports learners by developing essential kitchen skills as well as raising awareness of the journey of food and how it ends up on their plates. Working mainly with produce from our school grounds, pupils rustle up soups, crumbles, cakes and a variety of main meals.
Our library
Our library is a quiet and peaceful place where pupils can let their imaginations escape to far away places or find out lots of new facts for their class learning. We have a variety of fiction and non-fiction resources for all reading abilities.
Our large hall
Our large hall has several purposes and is constantly in use. We have PE specialists in most days taking classes. It is also our large lunch hall where pupils can either eat their own packed lunch or choose from the school menu. Our pupils come together to share success and find out the lastest school news at assemblies.
